Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Hospedaje in Guatemala, I experienced a mix of comfort and practicality. The location is quite convenient, just a stone's throw from the bustling community market and close to public transport—all beneficial for us traveling beer enthusiasts who may want to explore local breweries. The standout feature was undoubtedly the friendliness of the staff. One dedicated lady managed everything seamlessly, and I feel she deserves recognition, if not a raise! The cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and kitchen impressed me, creating an inviting environment. While the amenities were basic, the rooftop terrace offered a splendid view of the stunning Volcan Agua, perfect for enjoying take-out meals—a personal highlight of my visit. The availability of free water, coffee, and tea certainly adds value, especially for those on a budget. In terms of investment, this hostel strikes a good balance between luxury and affordability. It’s a sound choice for travelers seeking budget-friendly accommodations without compromising on the essentials. I'm inclined to recommend Hospedaje for anyone exploring the area.
